I always try and do something handmade as gifts each year for the kids. When they were younger it was easy, a Christmas decoration or a blanket. Now it isn't so easy, shopping for them isn't easy at all! A few years back we went from buying gifts to buying trips for Christmas to make memories because - our time with them is so short. In 5 years they won't recall if they got an Xbox or iPad but they will remember we went on a cruise or vacation by the beach!
