How to Preserve Pumpkins and Decorative Gourds

I love Pumpkins, but hate how often they so not last past early of October.  So I have been searching for something like this, after the frustration of losing so many over the years. Not only is it easy, and uses products you already have at home so far it has seem to work on mine! The true test will be if they still look great later in the fall.

What great ideas have you used to Preserve Pumpkins?
